Strawberry Reviver
Serves
1
Corpse Reviver 2-ish with balanced strawberry sweetness and aromatic basil-infused vodka.
Ingredients
.75 oz Ginship or any coriander- or citrus-forward gin
.75 oz Erdbeer (strawberry eau de vie/clear unaged brandy)
.75 oz Cointreau
.75 oz fresh lemon juice
.5 oz strawberry simple syrup
basil-infused vodka (see notes)
Directions
- Atomize or pour a very small amount of basil-infused vodka into chilled coupe or rocks glass and swirl to coat.
- In cocktail shaker, shake all other ingredients with ice and strain into prepared glass. Garnish with a strawberry and basil leaf if you’d like.
Notes
- Basil-infused vodka: Stuff a big bunch of clean dry fresh basil leaves into a quart mason jar. Add about 3.5 cups of a high proof vodka that you’d be willing to sip neat. Close jar, label contents and date, and store in a dark place for up to three days. Strain vodka, compost the spent basil. Store your infused vodka out of direct sunlight. It will last just about forever. I like this as a base spirit in vodka gimlets and summery herbal martinis (especially split with an herbal gin), as a rinse or atomized over any herbal drinks, and added by the teaspoon to savory-sweet ice cream batters.
